With season six of Game of Thrones upon us, I figured it was time to start getting pumped up for its return. I will be quickly going over what characters and their respective story arcs I am most excited for, as well as those that I am not. Obviously this will deal with spoilers, so if for some reason you haven't caught up yet, go do that now, seriously.
Characters I am excited for -
· Arya Stark - I love Arya, and have always loved her. Her quest for vengeance is simple enough but now she is in training to become one of the Faceless Men. I look forward to see her put that training to use on her bloody path back to Westeros.
· Bran Stark - Bran is back this season, and is working on his God powers out beyond The Wall. Will he warg into a dragon? Can anyone really stop him with that power? It will be interesting to see just how much power he ends up wielding, and what he will use it for.
· Tyrion Lannister - With the Mother of Dragons MIA now, Tyrion will most likely be in a position to try and clean up the mess that she left behind. We all know Tyrion excels at playing the game and making political moves so it will be great to see him once again with that kind of power and the decisions that come with it.
· Jon Snow - Okay so I and everyone else wants to know if Lord Snow is dead and gone forever, or if he will be returning in some fashion. Duh.
Characters I am not excited for -
· Daenerys Targaryen - I have had it with her quest to save the people of Essos. Now the Mother of Dragons is back to square one, and that much further from returning to Westeros. I'll care about what she's doing once she is poised to retake her throne.
· Ramsay Snow - I get it, the guy is twisted and viscious beyond belief. Everytime we see him now he is doing something abhorrent, yet still not being killed by someone. Tywin was an asshole, but he was interesting and Ramsay is no Tywin.
· Samwell Tarly - Being away from The Wall saved Sam's life. With Jon's death, Sam will most likely be a blubering mess if or when he finds out about it, and that's just something I can do without. I would be pleasantly surprised however if he channels that sadness into a berserker rage, but I feel like that won't happen.
